We retain customer data for the lifetime of the account, unless the customer opts out or requests deletion.
Certain data may be retained as required under applicable laws even after account deletion.
Legal & Dispute-Related Retention: Order records, shipping details (including AWB numbers, courier logs, delivery timestamps, and OTP confirmation records), payment data, and communication history are retained for a minimum of 3 years from the date of the transaction. This data may be used as evidence in consumer disputes, courier investigations, chargeback proceedings, or legal proceedings before consumer forums, courts, or regulators. Deletion requests will not apply to data subject to an active or foreseeable legal dispute.

Our store is hosted on Shopify, whose servers may be located outside India. By using our website, you consent to cross-border transfers.

Logistics & courier partners for delivery, including your name, address, phone number, and order details. These partners operate independently, and by placing an order you consent to your data being shared with them for delivery fulfilment.

Law enforcement, consumer forums, or regulators when required by applicable law, court order, or regulatory directive — including but not limited to the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, and the IT Act, 2000.
Courier dispute resolution: In the event of a delivery dispute (lost, damaged, or undelivered shipment), relevant order and shipping data including your contact details, AWB number, and delivery records may be shared with the courier partner and/or their legal team solely for the purpose of investigating and resolving the dispute.
Affiliates or successors in case of merger, acquisition, or business restructuring.
We may also share non-personal, aggregated data (e.g., total visitors, average order size) with partners for analytics and business purposes.

We use SSL encryption, secure servers, and restricted access protocols. While we strive to protect your data, no system is 100% secure, and Claura cannot guarantee absolute security.

Claura is not liable for breaches or data loss caused by uncontrollable events such as cyber-attacks, internet outages, natural disasters, or acts of government.

17. Courier & Third-Party Data Disclaimer
When you place an order, your personal data (name, address, phone number) is shared with our courier partners solely for the purpose of delivery. Claura does not control how courier partners store or process this data beyond the delivery transaction.
Courier partners have their own data and privacy practices. Claura is not liable for any data handling by courier partners after data is transmitted to them for delivery purposes.
In the event of a courier investigation or legal dispute related to your order, Claura may be required to produce shipping records, delivery confirmations, OTP logs, and related data as evidence. By placing an order, you consent to this use of your data.
